Coverage
How do I know if AVISP can reach my property?
Start with Check My Address. Because we use fixed wireless, what matters most is line of sight from your place to one of our relay sites. If the map looks promising, we confirm with a quick site check before anything gets scheduled.
What areas do you serve?
We cover Geyserville, Healdsburg, Cloverdale, and the surrounding hills and valleys — Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Mill Creek, and around Lake Sonoma. Rural parcels off the main roads are exactly who we built this for.
Do trees or hills block the signal?
They can. Fixed wireless needs a clear path to one of our towers, so a thick stand of trees or a ridgeline between you and the relay matters. We often solve tricky parcels with a higher mount, a different antenna spot, or a relay. We will tell you straight whether it works.
Plans & Billing
Are there data caps?
No. Our residential and business plans have no data caps and no throttling. Stream, work, and back up your photos without watching a meter.
How much does service cost?
Residential starts at $75/mo, Enhanced Residential is $99/mo, and Residential & Home Business is $149/mo. Winery, vineyard, and enterprise service is quoted to fit the property. See Plans & Pricing for the full breakdown.
Is there a contract?
We keep it simple month to month for residential service. The full terms live in our Customer Guide & Policies and on the Policies page.
How do I pay my bill?
Through the My Account billing portal, linked from the footer and the Sign In page. You can view statements and manage payment there.
Install
What happens on install day?
A local technician mounts a small antenna with a clear view to our relay, runs a single weatherproof cable inside, and sets up your router. Most installs take a couple of hours. We walk you through your Wi-Fi before we leave.
How long does it take to get connected?
After a successful address and site check, most homes are scheduled within a week or two depending on the season. Fire season and harvest get busy, so earlier is better.
Do I need to be home for the install?
Yes, please. We need access to choose the antenna spot and the cable route inside, and we like to show you how everything works before we go.
Outages & Fire Season
Will my internet stay up during a PSPS?
It can, with a little planning. Our relay sites are backed up on our end. On your end, your antenna and router need power, so a modest battery or power station keeps you online when the grid is off. We can help you size it.
What should I do if my service goes down?
First check that your router and antenna have power and the cables are seated. If everything looks powered and you are still down, call us at 707-433-8327. We are local, so we know what is happening in the area.
How do I prepare my connection for fire season?
Have backup power ready for your router and antenna, save important logins offline, and keep a phone hotspot as a fallback. Our Resources hub has a PSPS guide and an internet go-bag checklist.
Wi-Fi & Equipment
Will your service cover my whole house and outbuildings?
Our connection comes into the house; reaching a barn, shop, or guest unit is a Wi-Fi question. We set up mesh systems like Eero and outdoor access points so signal carries across the property. Tell us your layout and we will plan it.
Do you support Eero mesh?
Yes. Eero works well on our plans and is a great fit for big rural homes and spread-out properties. We can advise on node count and placement, or you can run your own.
Can I use my own router?
In most cases, yes. We will let you know if your setup needs anything specific. If you would rather we handle Wi-Fi end to end, we can do that too.
Business
Can you support a tasting room POS and guest Wi-Fi?
Yes. We keep your point-of-sale on a reliable, separate path from guest Wi-Fi so a busy Saturday never costs you a sale. Multi-building wineries are a core part of what we do.
Do you offer priority support for businesses?
Business and enterprise plans include priority scheduling and local onsite technician support. When connectivity is part of your operation, you get a real person who knows your site.
